When will Straya Stays start taking bookings?

Can I pay my subscription via direct deposit?

Straya Stays Charges
We like to be fair dinkum, so to be clear, credit cards are charged the total cost at time of purchase. We can’t guarantee prices and room availability until full payment is received. At Straya Stays we pass on the total booking fee in full to our hosts and invoice them our fees later. It’s great for their cash flow and a key part of making sure the money stays in Australia.
We also share guest booking details with the host immediately, so any amendments can be made simply and easily directly with your host if required.
Additional Host Fees
In true blue style, our rates and fees are up front and only apply to your selected room and listed inclusions.
The Straya Stays price shown, does not include any additional host service fees or charges for optional extras. We hope you have a ripper time, but any additional extras, such as mini bar snacks, a bevvy at the bar, or in house movies that are not included in your Straya Stays booking, will be charged directly to you by your host upon check-out.
Cancellations and Changes
It’s no worries mate, we understand that sometimes plans can change. Straya Stays doesn’t charge a cancellation or change fee, however our hosts have their own policies. To make it easy you can we will supply your hosts contact details so you can amend your booking. They may or may not have fees in accordance with their own policies.
All booking carries a unique booking ID and our system will automatically pick up changes and cancellations entered by the host.
Guests may some cracking deals, however some bookings are clearly noted as “Non-Refundable”. In that case, bookings unfortunately cannot be changed or cancelled with payment refunded. 100% of the payment will be forfeited on ‘non-refundable’ bookings.
Guest may have special requests (such as bed type, roll-away bed or cot etc.) which can be made directly with the host. Guests will be prompted to give hosts a heads up prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. Additional fees and charges may apply and are handled directly by hosts and their guests.
On guests return, we’d love their fair dinkum feedback on how we and our hosts are traveling. So we will ask them not beat around the bush, but also share their great experiences with us via our reviews. We will prompt guesty to keep their eyes peeled for an email from us on their return, and a chance to pass on their feedback.
Something gone aStray?
All jokes aside, we take internet security very seriously. So as your good mates at Straya Stays will never request sensitive or financial information post-booking, and we won’t ask to transfer money to any account via an email or SMS message.
Over the years we have been made aware of phishing scams targeting the travel industry. Our process follow strict rules and security processes to make sure any sensitive data is protected.
